Attending a Wedding with a Little One? Here's What to Wear

Attending a wedding as a mother with a young child or baby can fill you with both excitement and
dread. You're excited to see a friend or family member get married, and your child has been invited,
so you know they're welcome there. But dealing with a toddler or baby during a wedding can be tough.
You're probably going to have to cut your night short, and what do you do if your little one starts to
fuss during the ceremony or the speeches? Even just deciding what to wear can be difficult when
you'll be holding a baby or chasing a toddler all day.

Choose Something You Can Move In

Whether your toddler has just started to run about or you'll be carrying an infant all day, you don't want
to be too restricted. Wedding outfits, particularly more formal ones, can make it difficult to move about
freely, which isn't great if you need to spend all day watching over a little one. If you're breastfeeding,
you'll want something comfortable that makes it easy to feed your baby when you need to. If you have
a tearaway toddler, you'll want to be prepared to give chase at any moment.

Don't Spend Too Much

Spending a lot of money on a dress only to find that it's been ruined by sticky fingers or baby vomit
isn't something you want. Before you buy an expensive dress, visit this website to see what you can
get for less. Saving money doesn't have to mean compromising on what you wear. With any luck,
your outfit will survive to be worn another day. And if it doesn't, at least you haven't wasted a lot of
money on an outfit that your child managed to ruin in two seconds flat.

Forget About the Heels

If you've been thinking about whether to wear heels to the wedding, it's probably best not to. While
some confident heel walkers might be fine, you have a long day ahead of you, and it will seem even
longer with a young child accompanying you. A pair of pretty but comfortable shoes will serve you
well, and they're especially useful if you need to give chase to catch up to an escaped toddler. You
especially won't want to wear heels if you're pregnant or even if you're just tired. They can be more
effort to stand and walk in than it's worth.

Pack a Practical Bag

You might want to take a pretty purse to the wedding, but your baby or toddler still needs a lot of stuff.
There's probably no way you're going to be able to take it without a diaper bag or something similar.
If you're particularly fashion conscious, there are plenty of stylish diaper bags out there if you're willing
to pay for them. You can still take a purse with your essential items. Try to find somewhere to stash
the baby stuff so it's out of the way.

If you're going to a wedding with a little one, make sure you're not doing it alone. If you're not with a
partner, take any help that's offered to you so you can have a break.

5 Tips On How to Stay Organized Leading Up to the Big Day.

You’re beyond happy because you have found someone you can see yourself spending the rest of your life with. You or your significant other has recently popped the question and now you two are excited to tell the world about it. Everyday seems a bit brighter and cheerful than the last, however you have started to feel stress creep into your bubble of joy. You make a list of things to get down in your head and it seems like the wedding tasks are never ending. Friends and family members are asking questions you have no answer for, and now you find yourself wondering half-jokingly if eloping would be easier.
Below we have come up with 4 tips on how to stay on track with your wedding planning.

#1 Get a white board. You can head to your local Target or Office Depot to pick up one of these guys. If you have room, get two separate ones. You will want one that has a calendar section and an empty section. By having a board every day that you can see, it will be easier to tackle the day’s objectives and be prepared for what you have coming up.

#2 Get a day planner. You may think to yourself that it would be silly to have a book schedule and a schedule on the whiteboard. However, this way you can jot future events, tasks, and meetings in your book. That way each month you can just transfer them from your book to the whiteboard.

#3 Give yourself deadlines. By giving yourself deadlines to accomplish tasks, you will be more motivated to get them done today instead of tomorrow. This will also make sure you will not be stuck with a bunch of last minute details the day before the wedding.

#4 Set aside time to relax. If all you do is work, work, work, you are bound to slip up at some point. It might sound silly and something the older generations will continually snicker at, but self-care is always important. Giving yourself an hour a day to just relax and have fun will lead to a better wedding planning experience overall.

#5 Get yourself a wedding planner. You may have seen this one coming, but it is true. You may be thinking that a wedding planner is completely out of your budget. If that is the case, are you aware that many wedding planners, including You’re The Bride, offer different packages? Maybe you just want someone to assist with day of coordinating or maybe someone who will be there from start to finish, all of these options are possible with a wedding planner.

5 Wedding Favors Your Guests Will Actually Use

Sometimes you get great wedding favors, sometimes you get a favor that perfectly matches the new couple but it’s not something you will ever use and it ends up in the bottom of the junk drawer. Below we have listed some favors that your guests will actually get a use out of.

#1 Heart Shaped Measuring Spoons. Your guests do not need to be a master chef to get a use out of these. They will cherish these the next time they make a perfect dessert or just a standard box of mac and cheese.

#2 Custom Bottle Opener. You can find generic ones that are loved theme by saying XOXO or something more specific to your personalities. Both love bicycling? They make a bicycle themed bottle opener.

#3 Locally Sourced Product. This could be a jar of honey, jam, or even naturally made lip balm. Different areas have different vendors. Google what is offered by you and go from there.

#4 Brownies, Cookies, or Doughnuts. Sweets are always a hit. It is something little your guest can enjoy when they get home after celebrating the night away with you or the next day with their coffee.

#5 Sleep Masks. This is a great gift if you had a wedding that involved any type of traveling for your guests. Help them get the rest they need to recover from all of that celebrating.

3 Elements That Have To Be Perfect

When you are planning a wedding, clearly you want it all go to as smoothly and to plan as possible,
and that is something that requires a lot of hard work and dedication - and the careful management of
emotions as well. However, although you want it all to be perfect, there are often compromises you
need to make just to make sure that you get the day done and planned on time. That being said, there
are a few elements in particular which you must make sure you don’t overlook and which absolutely
do need to be perfect if you are to have a perfect wedding day. In this post, we are going to look at just
three things that you have to get right in order for the day to be a success. As long as these are perfect,
you can be sure the day is going to be too.

The Dress

Clearly, you want to make usr that you find the dress that is absolutely right for you, or for the bride if
you are planning on behalf of someone else. In either case, this requires plenty of shopping around
and trying dresses on before you're likely to come to the right one, and it is worth remembering that it
takes plenty of patience to find the right one. When you do, grab it, and make sure you don’t delay, as
the last thing you want is for the perfect dress to be found and then slip through your fingers just as easily.
Grab that dress, and you will have secured one of the most important parts of the whole day. Getting the
perfect dress will mean that you can be confident on the day on the whole.

The Rings

Although they are going to be much more a part of your life than just the day itself, if anything that is even
more of a reason to make sure you choose the best possible wedding rings. You and your partner need to
both be happy with them, so it might take you some time to ensure that you are going to end up with the
perfect ones each. You will find yourself going to diamond store after diamond store trying to find the ideal
ring, and it is likely that this will take as much time as any other element of the wedding. For that reason,
give yourself enough time to actually find one that you like, and then you will be much happier with the whole
event as well.

The Venue

Finally, making sure you find the ideal venue is something that you will need to think about log and hard and
spend a good deal of time on. Getting the venue right is going to be hard, but it is essential if you are to have
a perfect day, and again you will find that it takes a lot of time to get right. When you find it, book it in lest you
lose it, and that way you can be sure of a truly perfect day.

Balloons, a Unique Detail

Balloons are traditionally associated with birthday celebrations and more casual events. However, balloons are finding their way into the formal dΓ©cor of weddings. Check out our ideas for incorporating balloons into your big day.

#1 Replace the rice tossing with balloons. This can make an incredibly cute photo to remember the end of your wedding ceremony. Consider having the balloons let go in an area where you can set a net above to catch all the balloons. This will prevent the balloons from getting trapped in trees and nests which can lead to harming wild life.

#2 Balloons for centerpieces. This is great way to potentially save money by reducing your florist bill but still having something eye catching. These balloons can be filled with glitter or covered with a light weight fabric to add a little something.

#3 Draw attention to areas of special interest. This could be done with things such as the gift table, photo booth, or guest book.

#4 Use them in your wedding photos. This can be done with engagement photos or the day of photos. They can have cute or quirky messages written on them that add a fun atmosphere to the shoot.

What Are The DIfferent Types Of Razors

Everyone likes a neat and clean appearance. The good news is that it doesn’t take much effort to get that classic look. All you need is a good razor. There are different types of razors flooding the market. We’ll help you pick the right one.
Use in the stone age, the first known version of a razor was a shaving stone which was essentially a flaked obsidian.
The Egyptians used a rotary razor.
Shaving was adopted by Alexander’s troops. The Romans replaced the circular razor with a straight one.
Straight razor was most commonly used till the 20th century. This razor had a stainless steel blade that is sharpened on one side.
Next came the shavette, had a disposable blade. It is easy to use but less durable.
In 1880 came the first marketed safety razor. Safer to use than straight razor but required practice.
1903 saw King Gillette sell the first double edge safety razor which had edges and protective bars on both sides of the blade.
First disposable safety razor came in 1960. The entire razor is discarded after use over a period of time.
Then came the cartridge razor with disposable blades. whose head remained bent at a slight angle for a closer shave.
The foil electric razor run on batteries or can be recharged. For this, no shaving gel or foam is needed. Since the blades move back and forth, they don’t work well on facial curves.
Based on the same principle as the electric razor, the rotary electric razor has blades that rotate on the head. They are easy to use and work well on facial contours with minimum effect.

A Simple Step Towards an Environment Conscious Wedding

Within recent years, our understanding of our planet has improved drastically. Food miles, carbon footprints, and waste are no longer a small thought in the back of our minds. This means many of us have started considering ways to make our lifestyle more environmentally friendly. A recent trend that has been sweeping Metro Detroit’s foodservice is disposable straws. For many they are a luxury product that does not add anything to the experience besides contributing to landfills. In an attempt to become greener, restaurants and venues have stopped automatically serving straws and only do so if asked by a guest or if a guest requires one due to a disability.

If you are looking for a way to make your wedding more ecofriendly, ask your venue to remove straws from bar counters and have bartenders not add them to any drink unless asked. This may seem like a small step but at the end of the day any small impact can turn into a wave. You may add a small sign that encourages guest to refrain from straws or have your DJ announce it at the beginning of cocktail hour or the reception.

15 Best Man Speech jokes that will win over any wedding crowd

Writing your best man speech and don’t know how to start? A bit of humor will help you keep
the atmosphere relaxed! There is nothing better than a good joke to win the audience right
from the opening sentence. Well, here are some of the most hilarious  opening jokes for
the best man speech from Weddingforward.
`I didn’t know how to start, so I browsed the Internet. After several hours I found some great
stuff! Then I realized I was supposed to be writing a speech’
‘Before I begin, can we please make sure your mobile phones are in a silent mode! Don’t
switch them off - but if you come across a good joke browsing the web during my speech
send it to me! I will be very grateful.’
‘You can’t imagine just how much I’ve been looking forward to today! After all these years,
(Groom) has finally admitted that I am the best man!’
‘I asked for a microphone, but they couldn’t get me any. So if you can’t hear me properly in
the back seats - it’s ok, don’t worry. One look at the faces of the front row can tell you that
you are not missing out much!
‘When (Groom) asked me to be his best man, he told me that he expected me to make a
traditional speech to the bride and groom. But he forgot to mention the fifty other people
who'd be present.’
Such an occasion is impossible without best man speech jokes about groom. Try to keep
the balance between teasing and offence. After all, this is your best friend’s big day! Also,
remember that though you probably share lots of inside jokes, really funny best man speech
jokes are those everyone can understand.

‘(Groom) is definitely one of the best people I’ve even met. Handsome, funny, intelligent… I’m
sorry, (groom), your handwriting is hideous!’
‘Loyal, funny, caring, sincere and honest… but enough about me!’
‘The groom asked me not to talk about his embarrassing moments, mistakes or ex-girlfriends
… Well, thanks for listening, you are a great audience, that’s all from me!’
‘I know it’s a part of the tradition, but I don’t want to roast the groom on his special day. So I
won’t tell anything controversial or embarrassing about (Groom) and concentrate on his good
points instead. Thank you and goodnight.’
One of the secrets of a successful speech is to know your audience. If you are not sure about
any minors that might be present, better stick to clean best man speech jokes.
‘People have often commented that myself and (Groom) are like siblings. I suppose I take on
the role of an older brother. (Turns to groom) Would you agree with that, little sis?’
‘My name is (name) and as the Best Man, it is my job to tell you the truth about (Groom). A
gentleman, a charismatic guy, a health guru – well, he is none of these things, but I’m sure he
must have some other good qualities to get the lovely (Bride)’.
‘As Best Man, it is my duty and my privilege to tell you all about the groom and  his life in the
(age) years leading up to what WAS the happiest day of his life until I began this speech’
If the groom or the bride have a multicultural background, it might be a good idea to include
some culture-sensitive jokes. For example, here are some irish best man speech jokes you
could include.
‘Let’s give it to him - the groom’s a handsome fellow! Although standing up here looking at him
next to (Bride), you could have done a bit better hun.”
‘My first thought today was, if I’m the best man here, why is (Groom) getting to marry (Bride)?’
‘Don’t worry, your arms won’t get tired. My speech is going to be like a mini-skirt: long enough
to cover the essentials and short enough to hold your attention.’
