A letter of recommendation and certificate will also be awarded upon successful completion of our internship.
This internship involves pre-event preparation including creating and updating timelines, vendor confirmation calls, client inspiration boards, vendor research/quotes, magazine submissions including photo selections, marketing promotions, couple of the month features, webinars, researching ideas and writing blog posts for the YTB blog, assembling favors/invitations as needed, folding napkins, basic flower arranging, assisting in wedding ceremony rehearsal, on-site coordination, set-up for ceremony and reception, occasional field trips to wedding showrooms. Most of your assignments would be emailed to you and completed at your location by the deadline given so you are able to work a part-time job. You are not required to come into an office setting daily but we will have meetings as needed. Other projects as needed including planning a “Mock” Wedding that must be presented for a grade. You will also need to write a final blog post about your assignments and overall experience.

May be required to attend some weekday and weeknight functions to include networking events, bride consults and vendor meetings, etc. We can be flexible with the right candidate depending on your schedule. This internship is approx. Jan-July 2018. A shorter internship is available based on your school needs for an internship. Please specify in your cover letter your available start and end dates. Please indicate in your cover letter what city you reside in when you are home on summer break as we desire candidates whom are under 30 minutes from Farmington. If you can’t handle long hours typically 12 hours on wedding days, honor a contractual commitment or are NOT a STUDENT that can receive college credit or if you don’t live in Metro Detroit PLEASE DO NOT APPLY.

New Years Eve Wedding?
Time to ring in the new year surrounded by your loved ones! But do you add a wedding in the picture?
Some people may think having their wedding on New Years Eve isn't the greatest idea, but others might think it's the best! If you and your fiance have the same mutual friends, why not celebrate all at once!?
The only reason it may not be the best is if you have different groups of friends, because you want everyone to attend!

In August of 2016, David proposed to Erica at the Sesuit Café in Cape Cod, MA. This is one of the couple’s favorite spots on Cape Cod, a place that they visit every summer with Erica’s family. David planned the engagement with help from Erica’s family – who were all there to celebrate the occasion.
In November of 2017, David and Erica will tie the knot at the Inn at St. Johns with close family and friends in attendance. The bridal party if filled with family members and close friends, seven groomsmen and seven bridesmaids. The reception will be an elegant affair, in the venue’s atrium, a unique space that will be filled with mercury glass, candles, sparkle and romance.
