Awesome Advice For An Incredible Asian Wedding

Asian weddings are renowned for being spectacular events, full of colour, personality, and sparkle. It reminds me much of my favourite online gaming site, which you can find by clicking this link. They are an incredibly visceral experience, too, but this means that a lot of planning has to be involved to ensure things are on track. With this in mind, here are some tips for you, whether you are deciding on an Asian wedding for cultural, religious, or thematic reasons - let’s take a closer look!

Focus on the spectacular

As we mentioned in the intro, Asian weddings tend to be full of colour and excitement. So, concentrating on the fun is a vital part of the planning process. Try thinking of a theme that matches you and your fiance’s personalities and makes the event as memorable as possible for your guests. Dancing, music performances, and even puppet shows are all big hits at Asian weddings - there isn’t much room for shrinking violets! - so take a look around the web and seek out some inspiration.

Book your venue

When looking for somewhere for your reception, it’s important that your Asian wedding venue has had some experience of hosting similar events before. The decor will be a centerpiece of the event, so you want to choose a site that is easy-going when it comes to creating the perfect space - some wedding venues can be a little stuffy when it comes to hosting events. Don’t forget to ask about extras, either. You might want to have a firework display, for example, or maybe let off some Chinese lanterns, but you will need to get permission first in the vast majority of cases.

Show off your foodie culture

Food and drink are a vital part of any wedding, of course, but with an Asian wedding, you can really go to town in showing off the best of Asian culture. Look for a reputable caterer that is able to dish up tasty cultural dishes - even Indian or Chinese street food can go down a treat. If you are non-drinkers, think about coming up with some exciting ‘mocktails’ - soft drinks that match your wedding colours, for example.

Give guests plenty of time

An Asian wedding is a great excuse for people to get dressed up - a lot more so than putting on the standard wedding suits and outfits that a typical, western wedding entails. But if you want your guests to make that extra effort, make sure you give them plenty of time - and some advice on where to go shopping. Be wary of asking your guests to spend too much money, however, and instead ask them to focus on a particular colour or theme for their dress.

The photographer

Finally, make sure you are choosing a wedding photographer with experience of shooting Asian weddings. Take some time out to speak with them about your various needs and ensure that they know what sort of shots you want. They will have a lot of organising to do on the day, and you will be incredibly busy, so it’s important to get the details arranged beforehand.

Good luck with the Asian wedding - and for a happy marriage!

Your Wedding Can Wait! Celebrate Your Engagement The Way It Should Be

Congratulations on getting engaged! Your wedding is going to be just perfect, we know it already. But just before you get caught up in the whirlwind that is wedding planning and you find yourself scrolling through Pinterest for 3 weeks straight, don’t forget to celebrate your engagement.

Yeah, your wedding day is going to be one of the most magical days of your life, but don’t ignore the day one of you said ‘yes’, the day you committed to each other, the day that your partner spend ages planning, the day that saw them suffer from a sweaty palms and a dripping forehead.

Seriously, your wedding plans can be put on hold for a minute. You can get your wedding book out next week. For now, though, whoah, you need to do something special to celebrate the day it all began; officially anyway.

Bubbles, Bubbles And More Bubbles
If there is one rule that overrules them all it is that no engagement is complete without some champagne bottles being popped and plenty of fizz being consumed. Champagne is the ultimate celebratory drink, and this is the ultimate of celebrations, the one that is personal and intimate before you share your love with the world. So grab a bottle of your favorite fizz, get your nearest and dearest, try sabering the top and make a toast to now and forever. Of course, champagne isn’t to everyone’s taste. But that’s okay. There is a reason why tequila was invented.

The Just-Engaged Shot
When you realise you are soul-mates and say that cement that fact with a huge, resounding, all-singing and all-dancing yes, you get a glow. We can’t explain it, but you glow. Unrelenting happiness and adulation do that to a person, so capture that on film. It doesn’t even have to be an official shoot. It could just be a picture of the two of you wearing your Tacori engagement rings on your wedding fingers and raising them to the camera while you lock lips. Selfies, professional shoots, disposable camera photo, it doesn’t matter; it just matters that you have a memory of the moment you said yes! That’s what is important.

Relax, Chillax & Get Pampered
News has broken, word has spread, the whole world now knows about your engagement, and that means all eyes are going to be on you, especially if you’re having an engagement party. You are going to be the center of attention and people will be looking at your enviable levels of happiness with utter envy, and they will be studying that rock on your finger with the same jealousy as a jewel thief. That is why it is so imperative you look your best. Selfies with the bride and groom to be are going to become a thing, so get pampered. Run away for a couples spa weekend, or take your best girlfriends to get massaged and pedicured and learn what reflexology is. Whatever it is, enjoy this time in your life, and enjoy it for all it is worth. This is going to be one of the best moments of your life and you don’t want it to escape without enjoying every single bit of it.

Santorini Styled Shoot ~ Blossom Heath Inn

Wedding Planner, Tracie, from You’re The Bride was inspired to create this Santorini shoot because of the pure beauty of the land, breathtaking views, crystal blue water, and her love of Greek food. It is on her bucket list to travel there someday to experience all that Santorini offers before she has to renew her passport. She decided to bring Santorini to her in the way of choosing Wahby Park adjacent to Blossom Heath Inn located in St. Clair Shores, MI until she can make that exciting trip!

The shoot took place under a white washed gazebo with a blue dome roof which symbolizes the architecture in the famous greek village. Killer Creations Photography and Videography captured the beautiful details created by Flowers by Amore from the tablescape centerpiece with blue water representing the Aegean sea adorned with orchids, hydrangeas, and cobalt blue votives. Different heights of clear glass holders with floating candles were among the beautiful decor. U Design Ghost Chairs provided white ghost chairs which we paired with cobalt blue and white pillows to add a punch of color.

The theme was continued onto the gorgeous cake with a quatrefoil pattern, blue dome roof and trailing green orchids created by Bella e Dolce Cakes placed on a gold satin linen. Sand filled cylinders with cobalt blue votive candles sat below the cake which lent to the feel of the spectacular beaches that provide a picturesque ambiance.

Crisp white china embellished by gold charger plates, cobalt blue glassware, and gold flatware sat on white satin linens along with royal blue napkins provided by Event Theory were perfect to tie into our look. Thomas’s Catering provided some beautiful cobalt pieces including bowls with a leaf and grape pattern for each place setting along with Mediterranean fish vessels which we embellished with a sprig of hydrangea on the cake and main table. A large cobalt blue urn and white lantern were included in our design as well.

Olive oil guest favors crowned with green tops to complement our colors were provided by Olive Vinegar. Flair Necessities created a grand suite of stationary pieces including a wedding invitation, menu cards, place cards personalized by Calligrapher, Leah E. Moss and favor tags with a watercolor design with gold and cobalt blue backing.

Our models, Ciara and Chad looked amazing in their attire and jewelry styled by Gina’s Bridal. Make-up by Nicole Rashid-Rall made sure our bride was a glowing perfection. Katie of New You Salon created a greek goddess hairstyle to fit with our theme which included a gold branches leaf headband.

April Couple of the Month ~ Lauren + Eric ~ Eagle Isle Bed and Breakfast

Eric and I were set up five years ago, by a mutual friend who knew we'd be a match. After several dates, we fell hard and fast and we were soon inseparable.
Throughout our relationship, we have shared countless vacations, a home and our dog, Bailey. I can't see my life without him, so naturally I've been ready to marry him for years, and although I made that known, he was more slow moving.

Last year, we took a cruise to the Bahamas. With the help of a travel agent, he planned the ultimate proposal.

On February 27, 2016, I thought we were just going to the beach- I was wrong. Eric told me that a photographer, from the ship, was going to take a picture of each couple that had rented a cabana, so I packed a dress. When the photographer arrived, Eric told me he wanted a shot of me looking into the distance, so I turned to face the ocean. When I turned back around, he was down on one knee! Dream come true!

We are getting married on June 10, 2017 at a bed and breakfast in Ohio. It's an outdoor setting, which is exactly what we want. He has 8 groomsmen and I have 6 bridesmaids, who will be wearing powder blue dresses. We are both so very excited to get married and start a new journey!
