So, you’ve decided that you want to get married abroad and are incredibly excited about the prospect. You know that you want to say your vows somewhere warm and sunny, but that’s probably all you’ve got so far. When it comes to wedding planning, the most important thing is to take a structured approach. It’s crucial not to rush the process. Otherwise, you may end up forgetting something important.
Admittedly, tying the knot abroad can be stressful, as there’s more that needs to be planned. However, if you’re smart about how you go about it, that doesn’t have to be the case. To help ensure that your planning is as simple and stress-free as possible, we’ve put together some tips. Take note of these and planning your big day should be a doddle.
Find the perfect place
It’s natural to want the place where you tie the knot to be special, so it’s not just a case of picking any random place. Perhaps there’s a place you’ve visited before and fallen in love with? Maybe there’s a destination that you’ve always wanted to visit? Aim to pick somewhere that is special for one reason or another. It’s also important to choose a destination that is right for you and your partner; somewhere that seems like you. The destination you pick should say something about your personalities and the types of people you are.
Be smart about expenses
Getting married abroad might be an amazing thing to do, but it will be expensive, and it’s important to realize that. The good news, however, is that there are plenty of ways that you can cut costs. For instance, to cut travel costs, travel as a group. Book a coach for you and your wedding guests to take your to the airport via a site like http://shofur.com/rent-a-bus. This will save you and your guests a lot of money on the cost of cabs. To keep plane ticket prices low, book all the tickets together, that way you’ll be offered a group discount.
Make the internet your best friend
The main downside to getting married abroad is that the planning process is more complex. It’s not just a case of popping down the road to try out different cake recipes or heading a few miles away to listen to a band that you might have play. You're in a different country to your vendors and suppliers. With this in mind, it’s a good idea to make the internet your best friend. Take advantage of the internet to research the area, find the best vendors, and make the planning process easier for yourself.
Vet all vendors
Obviously, you want your wedding day to be perfect, so it’s important to vet all vendors. Reading up about them online is one thing, but it’s still important to meet with them in person, if possible. Aim to visit your chosen location for a few days before booking your venue, vendors, or entertainment. Use the time to vet your vendors and venue, to ensure that they're right for you. As that way, you can ensure that you’re making a good choice, and not selecting a vendor that will disappoint. For all the best tips for picking your vendors, sites like http://bridalguide.com can be useful.

So, the big day is not too far away, but are you prepared for it? You might be putting off a few basic tasks, but that’s not always a great idea. You can often make mistakes and fall short if you leave too many of those important things until the last minute. So, here are some of the wedding tasks that you definitely shouldn’t hesitate to address soon.
1. Getting Your Marriage License
First of all, you need to make sure that you get your marriage license. If you fail to get this, you simply won’t be able to get married. So, you can’t afford to forget about this. Imagine how you would feel if you left it too late and then didn’t get that license. Your entire day and all your plans would be ruined. It’s not worth it, so don’t let it come to that. If you leave until the last minute, you don’t know what could happen or go wrong.
2. The Invitations
Your invitations should be sent out as early as possible. There are many reasons for this. For a start, you want as many people as possible to be able to attend your wedding. If you send the invitations out late, then fewer people will be able to attend. Whereas, if you send them out early, people won’t have made other plans yet. You should take the time to design the invitations, and use embossed cards. That way, they’ll look great when your guests receive them.
3. Creating the Menus and Ceremony Programs
The wedding should have a program that shows everyone what will happen throughout the day. These need to be designed and printed, so it’s important to get them sorted in advance. If there is a printing mistake, for example, you will want to get it fixed ahead of the big day. And the same is true of the menus. They need to be printed clearly and read to go when the day of your wedding arrives.
4. The Seating Plan
Getting the seating plan right is essential when you’re organising your wedding. It can be complicated and frustrating. You’re always worrying about who should sit with who. You don’t want to sit two people next to each other if they don’t get along. The last thing you need is for an argument to break out between two of your family members. Get this time-consuming task out of the way as quickly as you can. You don’t need all that stress as your big day approaches.
5. Packing for the Honeymoon
When the wedding is done, you and your partner will be heading off on your honeymoon. That’s how it normally works anyway. You don’t want to spend that time between the end of your wedding day and the start of the honeymoon packing. So, make sure that you get all that packing started before you reach your wedding day. That way, all that boring packing will be out of the way, and you won’t have to think about it.
It’s all so intricate! As true gentlemen, we sure see beauty everywhere around us, but formal serviettes, flower symbolism and fingertip veils simply go beyond our experience, sentience and knowledge. It is, though, our privilege to be invited to wedding plan meetings when needed, and to give our all to make our ladies feel heard, special and loved.
And, it all starts with a wedding portrait. Apart from being a perfectly groomed addition to the frame, it’s up to us to allow them to shine. Here’s why bride’s photography is arguably the single most important thing when planning a wedding, at least when it comes to our responsibilities as grooms.
1. Let’s Face It, You’re All Living Her Dream
You might be all sleek and dandy, but frankly, it is her day, and the sooner you realize it, the better it will all turn out. And, in case you’ve been doubting her determination, it might be safer if you don’t – if not since she was a little girl, your special lady has most certainly been dreaming about her wedding day for quite some time, which means that she has a pretty clear vision of how it should look, feel, sound, smell and taste. Everything’s already planned out, so relax and let her be her most stunning self.
2. Today, She Is the Most Beautiful Woman in the World
There’s a reason why bridesmaids never wear the same dress model as brides; there’s also an unwritten agreement between ladies that no female guest should dress in white. A bride should not only be the radiant point of the whole extravaganza, but the only one who glows, sparkles and twinkles. Finding the best photograph and the best video editing service to capture that will prove her that, at least for a day, she is the most beautiful, nay, the only woman in the world.
3. After All, She Is the Better Half
No doubt about it – your girl is definitely the better half of your power couple whole, a Clair to your Frank Underwood, Beyoncé to your Jay Z and Victoria to your David Beckham. Acknowledging that is not a sign of weakness, but a confirmation that you’ve chosen well. If a beach photoshoot and professional wedding video editing is what she wants, she certainly has a motive. Even if only a whim, her everyday brilliance should be reason enough to indulge her.
4. She Will Notice Those Details, So Be Sure To Get Them Right
After all, a male’s eye will never be as piercing as a female’s eye. Not to be gender bias, but when elegance, refinement and attention to detail that wedding planning demands are in case, we cannot even come near them. You can bet that every particularity on each wedding photo will be carefully examined and possibly frowned upon. Never rush one while in the making, because at the end of the day, there’s really not a reason to do so.
5. It’s All about Her Smile
Which finally brings us to our final argument? Weddings are all about living happily ever after, be they fairytale-themed or not. Not giving her the best when she deserves is nothing less than starting your life together on the wrong foot. It’s not only love that drives us forward – relationships are built on mutual respect and, from time to time, on compromise.
Sure, your lady is the love of your life, a reliable partner, best pal, and an accomplice in both the good and bad, but as she flips the pages of your potential photographer’s resume, she is nothing but a little girl in a sequin dress.
So, try showing your devotion, ardour and tenderness from the day on, however hectic it might be. If a picture perfect picture is all it takes to make her smile, it’s definitely a small price to pay.

Wedding planning is our niche in this little section of the web. Perhaps you’ve just said yes to your dream proposal and now you’re wondering how to get started planning the perfect wedding. If that’s the case, we think we’ll be able to help. There are few things you’ll need to think about when arranging the wedding of your dreams. But we’ll run through them all right here to ensure that your ceremony is picture perfect. Let’s start by thinking about the always important location.
Finding The Right Venue
You might already have a venue in mind for your wedding. If that’s the case, we suggest you start looking at it and booking it right now. If it’s as special as you think we guarantee it will be sold out in no time. Don’t forget, you probably have a special date when you would like to be wed. If you want to ensure you get this, you need to book the venue as early as possible. Particularly, if you’re looking at a date in the middle of a popular season such as summer or winter.
Getting Your Dream Dress
Next, for brides the dress will be the most important factor to consider. You will want to make sure that the dress you choose makes you look like a princess and an angel. You can have dresses custom made if you are willing to take a sizeable bit out of your wedding budget. It’s one of the ways you can make the ceremony a little more special and unique. Make sure you have a look at all the popular designers such as Vera Wang. The dresses they make are absolutely stunning and we think they would be worth every penny you spend. We know that there’s an argument for saving money on the wedding. But at the same time, you’re probably only planning on doing this once. You want it to be amazing, don’t you?
Choosing The Right Rings
A few months before your big day, you should be looking for the right wedding rings. Wedding rings can be purchased online, but sometimes it’s a good idea to see them in store. After all, these are the rings that you’ll be wearing for the rest of the relationship. You want to make sure that both of you love the way they look and feel. Don’t forget, you can make wedding rings a little more unique. One way to do this is with engravings on the inside. Make sure you put your imagination to work here and don’t just settle for the date of the wedding. You could have a special message inside or something that means a lot to both of you.
As wedding planners, we get asked all the time about what makes a ceremony perfect. The answer for us is simple. It’s the little details that make one wedding stand out from the rest. For instance, you might choose a wonderful poem to be read at your reception. Or you could choose to have delicious treats on the table for guests. Perhaps you have chosen to make the song that plays as you walk down the aisle completely unique. All of these things and so much more will make your wedding completely unique.

Daniel and Andrea tied the knot on September 24, 2016 at St. Paul's on The Lake in Grosse Pointe Farms.. Andrea and her bridesmaids started the day at The Westin Book Cadillac with hair and make-up pampering.
Once ready they made their way to St. Paul’s Church in Grosse Pointe, Michigan forthe ceremony. The church had stunning stained glass windows and elegant dome shaped ceilings. The altar was dressed with with 4 large fresh flower arrangements. The ceremony was filled with wonderful music thanks to Andrea’s father, whom is the music director at St. Paul’s Church. Nearly 200 guests were able to witness this breathtaking ceremony.
After the ceremony, guests traveled to The Colony Club in downtown Detroit for cocktail hour and the reception. The cocktail room was decorated with flower arrangements, candles, and engagement pictures of Dan and Andrea. The guests enjoyed cocktails and appetizers while listening to the piano, bass, drums, and sax. After Cocktail hour guests headed to the 3rd floor for the stunning reception. Each table was lavishly decorated with candles, pearls, Godiva chocolates and gorgeous towering floral arrangements
The newlywed couple made their grand entrance to the song Marry Me by Bruno Mars followed by the cutting of the cake. The intricate piped cake stood six tiers tall with one of the tiers made entirely of flowers. It was garnished with the couple’s monogrammed initials. After dinner the rest of the night was filled with dancing, fun, and laughter from the guests.
A special thanks to all the vendors than made this night possible!
