MOCAD Detroit ~ Katie + Adam 9/19/15
Katie's Mom called to enlist in our help for the wedding after finding us on google. We were super excited for this wedding as it was in a Art Museum in dowtown Detroit with some unique touches not to mention a funky and fun loving couple!
Katie loves color and this venue definitely fit her personality and style for her perfect day since she is a graphic designer. Her handsome husband is a optician just look at him in his sexy specs!
I am always a fan of the accessory shots!
Of course I love the bling on her dress ! She looked amazing!
Now this bouquet just left us speechless! I mean look at it ! Katie collected broaches for many months leading up to the wedding so she could create this masterpiece. I think it came out awesome and what a keepsake!
Now when you are having a wedding in the D you must stand in the middle of the street and get some artsy photos!
These are Katie's twin nieces and also were her Flower girls and absolutely adorable !
Katie and her DJ the fabulous Mary Ann Ross from Mary Ann Productions (whom by the way was my wedding DJ in 1997) worked out a special song that fit Katie perfectly and it was a surprise for her guests. She walked in to Queen's "Somebody to Love" and boy was it a stellar moment! The song had the perfect amount of energy that Katie was looking for to make that long awaited walk down to her hubby-to-be!
One of my favorite Officiant's, Denise Tucker from Perfect Day Celebrations officiated.
The bling of the gold sparkle runners and the hot pink flowers looked great against the black linens.
We set up this photo area so the guest's could take pictures with a polaroid and place in the book
along with a little note for the newlyweds.
We placed these bon bon's at each place setting, folded napkins, tucked the menu's inside and made sure to light the candles before guest arrival.
The food was provided by Two Unique Catering and was delicious. The mac and cheese was amazing!
I think this is the most unique cake I have seen in the 17 years I have been a wedding planner. Loved the linen Katie chose for her cake table too!
Katies' sister-in-law and brother arranged for a magician to do some table side magic for the guests.
