KayLyn & Jeff ~ St. Clair, MI ~ 6/20/15

KayLyn and Jeff's wedding took place in her parents backyard near the lake under a pergola built by her Dad in St. Clair, Michigan. The couple's beloved dog Bodhi also participated in the occasion! The aisle was lined with lanterns that we later moved to lead a lit path to the restroom trailer. The inside of the tent looked absolutely beautiful with twinkle lights and hanging floral that the Bridal Party handled. The guest tables were gorgeous farm tables along with mahogany chairs with a white pad. The tables were adorned with tulle runners, ivory napkins, candlesticks, beautiful china, amber stemware and the most unique flowers in brown glass bottles. KayLyn, her maids and her photographer friend Heather created amazing bouquets for the girls to carry. A friend wrote in gold calligraphy on the burgundy place cards and ivory table numbers..

The YTB team set up napkins, candles, menu cards, table numbers and place cards. Lisa and Lindsay greeted guests upon arrival and came up with a way to keep the place cards from blowing off the table as it was a little windy! Place cards, programs, and tambourines were handed out as each guest arrived. There were a few seating issues that we straightened out along the way as well to make sure their guests were accommodated and happy. We coordinated with the wait staff to attend to the guests needs and a few special requests. It was a super hot day so we made sure the staff  ran to get more lemonade, tea, dessert plates, etc.

After their friend Jeff officiated the special ceremony the couple went right to the Whiskey Bar to sign their marriage license! KayLyn starting pouring shots of Jameson for the guests to celebrate with her and Jeff! The guests enjoyed delicious charcuterie appetizers while the bridal party took pictures
Tracie visited each guest table to invite them for dinner of roasted pig, chicken, green beans, potatoes, salad and rolls. Everyone enjoyed the dinner but saved room for the delicious wedding cake that was on display to make a statement of it's own. Later in the evening we made sure the pizza got ordered and picked up for the guests to enjoy before leaving for the evening.

Soon after dinner it was time to get the party started with a few formal dances and introductions led by DJ Kurt Colone a childhood friend of the groom's. It was a wonderful little reunion for Kurt and Jeff to catch up with all their old school pals. Everyone had a great time on the dance floor and they didn't want the party to end! We can't forget to mention that the gorgeous bride surprised everyone with another dress so she could dance the night away!

Of course there is tending to the trash, cleaning up the ceremony area, and tearing down the centerpieces, table runners, candles and more at the end of the evening. We were happy to be
able to help the couple enjoy their day and I must say it was a great party!

You're The Bride Seeking Fall-Winter Interns in Detroit

You're The Bride Now Seeking 2015 Fall-Winter Wedding Intern

You're The Bride is seeking a motivated, reliable and detailed individual for 2015 Fall-Winter internship. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and have a computer as assignments will be e-mailed to you. Previous event planning experience is a plus but not necessary. Candidates must be able to take direction but also be able to think quickly on their feet as situations may arise that need to be solved with ease. Must have your own reliable transportation and driving knowledge of the Metro-Detroit area is helpful.

This is an UNPAID position; however, an intern who successfully completes the internship may be hired on a part-time basis to assist at future events. You will receive real experience in the world of wedding planning and this alone is very valuable if you are looking to break into the industry after college.

This internship may involve pre-event preparation, cold calling using bridal lead lists, researching ideas and writing posts for the YTB blog, assembling favors/invitations, assisting in wedding ceremony rehearsal, on-site coordination/set-up for ceremony and reception. Other projects as needed including planning a “Mock” Wedding that must be presented for a grade. Most of your assignments would be emailed to you and completed at your location by the deadline given so you are able to work a part-time job. You are not required to come into an office setting daily but we will have meetings as needed.

Must be available on some weekends as needed. May be required to attend some weekday and weeknight functions to include networking events, bride consults and vendor meetings, etc. We can be flexible with the right candidate depending on your schedule. This internship is October - March 2016. A shorter internship may be available based on your needs for school. Please specify in your cover letter your available start and end dates. Please indicate in your cover letter what city you reside in when you are home on summer break as we desire candidates whom are under 30 minutes from Farmington. If you can’t handle long hours on wedding days (typically 12 hours plus), honor a contractual commitment or are not a student that can receive college credit please do NOT apply.
If this opportunity sounds like it would be a perfect fit for you then please email your resume and  cover letter explaining why you would like to be part of our team and why we should choose you!  You may visit our website, blog, facebook, twitter, instagram or pinterest to learn more about the company. Can't wait to hear from you! We will start conducting interviews this week!

'Tis The Fall Wedding Season!

We love fall weddings here at You're The Bride. There is just something about this time of year that makes me happy. It might be that the apple orchards are open, the leaves are changing colors, sipping warm apple cider or the cool fresh air. Actually I love all of it! Planning weddings with fall and jewel tone colors that are rich and vibrant lend to beautiful d├ęcor for fall weddings. What is not to love? We can use pumpkins, branches, leaves, wood, moss, berries and so many other great items to decorate with! All of these can add great texture to your event.

Here is some fall inspiration for your upcoming wedding.

Now those of you who love these rich colors might enjoy a little undergarment treat for yourself!
You have to check out this new lingerie line by Adore Me. It includes a luscious fall color palette

Royal Park Hotel ~ Laura + Ronnie 5/23/15

Laura wed Ronnie on May 23, 2015.

This happy couple contacted You're the Bride and asked if we would participate in making this special day absolutely perfect.

Laura and her charming mother, Barbara just before the ceremony is to begin.

Taking place at the Royal Park Hotel in Rochester Hills, MI, the You're The Bride team arrived ready for duty. Walking into this venue was truly breathtaking upon arrival. The grand chandelier located in the foyer already makes a fairy-tale settling.

Arriving a few hours before the ceremony, You're The Bride began the initial set up of the reception room. Here we organized floral arrangements, place settings, and folded each napkin with precision and care. You're The Bride was sure to take the time to set-up the memorial table just outside the reception room with class and honor. A list was prepared of what belongings were to be gathered for the family at the end of the night and which had to be returned to vendors.

While Laura and her maids completed their hair and make-up, Ronnie and his men awaited the women at the altar.

The ceremony took place in the Conservatory room allowing plenty of natural light and beautiful photo opportunities.

Laura's walk down the aisle was perfect as the bride and groom anxiously awaited their union as husband and wife.

As the ceremony came to a close, the You're The Bride team placed the final touches on the reception room. Each and every guest became wide-eyed and awed by the four curtain podiums in the center of the room. The up-lighting within made quite a statement.

Before dinner was served, speeches by friends and family were given to the newlyweds. The groomsmen had a bit of good humor teasing Ronnie about some of his best kept secrets.

This pink dessert table was truly a little slice of heaven in each bite.

After all the guests were satisfied with a spectacular plated dinner, it was time to dance the rest of the night away!

Congratulations Laura and Ronnie. It was an honor being a part of your special day.
