Pine Knob Mansion: Copper and Blush Elegance Style Shoot

In September we decided to do our second inspired Style Shoot. They are a lot of work to plan and coordinate but so fun too! We had a great team of vendors and we couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Take a look at the breathtaking pictures by our friends at
Flourish Photography. A big thank you to our beautiful models Destiny and Sid a real married couple.

Combining the European backdrop, and copper floor at the Pine Knob Mansion and the pure elegance of black and white touches of blush and copper made for a perfect evening dinner with the loveliest couple.

Tracie with You’re The Bride was inspired by a majestic black and white cafe fabric awning. She wanted to show brides copper can be the “new” gold. Copper and Blush added a sophistication and flare to this modern styled shoot. The overflowing blush fabric and black and white runner puddling off the edge of the table adds a grandeur look to this picturesque setting captured by Flourish Photography.

The striking bride looked amazing in this modern chic dress from The Wedding Shoppe. It was adorned with a remarkable beaded belt and exquisite jewelry that finished her look. The groom looked dashing in his skinny tie and classic black suit.

The lustrous copper wire wrapped bouquet by Twigs and Branches blended white dahlia’s, hydrangeas, calla lilies, pink gardener roses, peonies, ranunculus, copper trailing plumosa and metallic succulents. Intertwined groupings of copper adorned the table with black lanterns, damask candle vases, votive favor by Lace Boutique, black glassware, copper and white pom poms, copper silverware from Special Events Rental, and a luxurious place setting. Translucent Ghost captain chairs provided by Twigs and Branches added an opulent style to the table, along with black chiavari blush draped chairs. White square dinner plates topped a black and white striped napkin on a black embossed charger plate. The eye catching metallic copper backed menu popped with the pure white plate background, the stationary damask pattern tied in with the stylish cake designed by Cake Nouveau. The cake was accented with a splendorous pink fondant ribbon that mirrors the blush puddled fabric, followed by a black and white striped layer and finished off with a damask square layer. Black and white striped fortune cookies where a delightful treat for the for the guests.

Ashley + Zackary 9/20/14 ~ Backyard Bliss

Ashley and Zack hired You’re The Bride for Day-of-Coordination for their September 20th wedding.  Zack’s Aunt and Uncle have a beautiful back yard in Rochester Hills and were kind enough to let them use it for their big day. It was truly the perfect setting. There are tons of trees and enough open space to entertain as well. It felt very peaceful.

Their ceremony took place off to the side of the back yard. They had a beautiful wooden arbor at the end of the aisle and tree stumps lined along the aisle. Our team put flowers in mason jars that Ashley decorated on the stumps and lined the aisle with rose petals.  Ashley looked stunning in her dress. She found a dress and basically redesigned it to be the dress of her dreams! The bridesmaids wore mint green dresses and I loved the groom and groomsmen’s suspenders.  Ashley and Zack’s baby boy, Zanden was their ring bearer and he looked absolutely adorable!

Right after the ceremony cocktail hour began while the bridal party had their pictures taken by Jessica of Flourish Photography. Every guest had their own mason jar with their name and table number on it. During cocktail hour we quickly moved all of the wooden chairs from the ceremony to under the tent. Two nice ladies from the catering company offered their help!

The tent looked beautiful with touches of purple, mint green, burlap, and lace. Every table was a little different with mason jars with flowers, lanterns, candles, and wine bottles. Ashley was really crafty and created most of it herself. It was a ton of set up, but we pulled it off in the nick of time! The cake had a beautiful ombre look to it and they had yummy sugar cookies with purple and green frosting.

After announcing the bridal party and the new couple it was time for the blessing and to eat! The dinner was delicious, but it started to rain! Luckily the guests were under the tent and our team hurried to put the sides on the tent so rain wouldn’t get in the tent. The rain did not hold anyone back, the dance floor was full all night!

Masonic Temple Detroit ~ Jamie + Seggie 8/23/14

The groom, Seggie, contacted You're The Bride in March with interest in our Day-of Coordination and Rehearsal services. Since the couple lived in  Los Angeles, Melissa and Tracie set up a Skype session to meet the couple and discuss their wedding needs. We had a great conversation and since Tracie was not available personally, Melissa managed the wedding details for the couple as their Lead Coordinator for the festivites along with two Assistants. The couple also ordered their invitations, calligraphy and thank you notes from us.

Jamie and Seggie chose the perfect location to host their Detroit nuptials. The Masonic Temple was a beautiful backdrop to their wedding, which they described as having a unique vintage inspired theme combined with each family's different cultural traditions. The YTB team of Melissa and assistants Emily and Kimberly were there to make sure the couple's vision became a reality.

As both the ceremony and reception were to be held at the Masonic, YTB wasted no time in setting up both the Wedding Chapel and Crystal Ballroom for the glorious occasion. The chapel was set up with bows down the aisle and the center row was tied off with tulle to keep guests from walking down it. When Viviano's arrived with the flowers, they laid white rose petals and candles which finished off the aisle beautifully. The Crystal Ballroom was set up with ruched white chair covers and black sashes, ruched backdrop, and large centerpieces of white hydrangeas. The finishing touch was the up-lighting that bathed the room in gorgeous color and reflected off the chandeliers to really make the room shine. In memory of Jamie's mother, as wedding favors, the family made a special donation to the cancer institute of America in each guests name.

As the ceremony began, the chapel lights were dimmed and the room came to life. The bridesmaids wore mint green floor length chiffon dresses that were perfectly accented with beautiful bouquets of ivory, plum and grey jade florals. Jamie was glowing as she waited to walk down the aisle to her future husband. The ceremony was very touching and incorporated elements from each family's culture. Jamie and Seggie smiled ear to ear as they said their vows to one another and kissed for the first time as husband and wife.

After the ceremony, guests were directed to the Crystal Ballroom where the cocktail hour was held in the foyer while the finishing touches were being made to the ballroom. Entertainment during the cocktail hour consisted of strolling magicians that blended into the crowd and surprised guests with slight of hand. This fun element was not the only surprise in store for Jamie and Seggie's wedding guests.

The reception began with the happy couple's grand entrance and traditional Assyrian dancing. The dance floor was packed as everyone joined in on the dance and celebrated with the bride and groom, even hoisting them up in the air and waving sticks decorated with ribbon and beads. It was all very festive and everyone had a blast. As the guests sat down for their meal, they were serenaded by a saxophone and the photobooth set up in the cocktail area for everyone's enjoyment.

After dinner, the couple had their first dance to the upbeat Sara Bareilles favorite "I Choose You". After the dances, the second surprise of the night came when Seggie's Acappella group Straight No Chaser came out and serenaded Jamie with "Make You Feel My Love". It was romantic and the group sounded amazing as they belted out the tune to celebrate Jamie and Seggie's love for each another. The moment the dance floor opened the party got started and the guests cleared their seats to pack the dance floor. Traditional Assyrian music was mixed with American Top 40 hits as the night progressed. YTB owner and head planner Tracie stopped by to congratulate the couple and see the finished product of months of planning and coordinating with the new Mr. and Mrs. Isho. Jamie and Seggie had one more trick up their sleeves as the famous Detroit Tigers' Baseball Team Mascot, Paws made an appearance and everyone was anxious to get their photo taken with him. Before the night was through, Domino's pizza delivered some late night pizzas to the wedding.

Here are some more beautiful photos of the bride and groom and bridal party before the festivities began.

Here are some photos of Jamie and Seggie enjoying their honeymoon. These photos are of them at the Eiffel Tower, inside the Colosseum and on the Island of Capri.

Congratulations Jamie and Seggie!
YTB wishes you all the happiness in the world!
